MVB: UC Irvine announces schedule, still waiting on Hawai’i

Hawaii will host the Big West Tournament for the second time in three seasons this April

Still nothing official from Hawai’i or the Big West but UC Irvine just put out its schedule.

The Anteaters will be in Manoa for their final conferences matches April 16-17 and stay in Honolulu for the Big West Tournament, April 22-24 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The only matches that the Big West has put out on its calendar are the ones related to UCI’s Home and Away: UCI vs. UCSD March 11-12, UCI vs. Beach March 26-27, UCI vs. UCSB April 1 and 3, and CSUN April 9-10 followed by the two matches at Hawai’i.

As mentioned previously, the Warriors are scheduled to open at CSUN March 14-15. The rest of the schedule will follow what was supposed to happen last season: home vs. UCSD, home vs. Beach, at UCSB, home with UCI. Teams have the option to play a third match, which would be counted as non-conference.

Most of Long Beach State’s spring sports have been on pause. The school announced on Feb. 1 that Feb. 15 is the target date to begin practice and other team activities.
