Big West MVB

The Warriors continue their quest for an unbeaten regular-season conference title. Hawa’i’i has already clinched the Big West title … its first conference title since 1980 …. and is the No. 1 seed in next week’s Big West Tournament at the SSC. Warriors have a bye into Friday’s semifinals against the winner of Thursday’s quarterfinal between Seeds 3-6. That should be interesting. UCSB has the tie-break on Long Beach State  for No. 2 seed by virtue of set differential; however if UCSB should lose Saturday to UCSD and Beach win both over CSUN tonight and tomorrow, Beach is seeded No. 2 and UCSB No. 3. Currently, CSUN (1-7) is the No. 6 seed, UCI No. 5 (2-6) and UCSD No. 4 (3-6) Best the Tritons can do is No. 4.
