BeachBows advance to title match with Washington at Husky Invitational

For a second day in a row, No. 15 Hawai’i swept Portland 5-0 at the Husky Invitational. This time, it was in the semifinal of the four-team event at Alki Beach on Saturday.

The BeachBows (12-7) only dropped one set against the Pilots in winning their fifth consecutive dual, that coming at Flight 1 where Pani Napoleon-Jaime Santer rallied for a 19-21, 21-11, 15-9 victory. Hawai’i won Friday’s pool play dual also by a score of 5-0.

Hawai’i faces host Washington at 11:15 a.m. HST for the championship. The BeachBows defeated the Huskies 4-1 in pool play Friday.
