Parapunov has signed with Milan Zarkovic’s former team in Serbia. This is the English translation of the Serbian. Think you can figure out what they mean.
“Dobro dosao” means “Welcome” in Serbian
The role of the first corrector in the champion’s jersey will be taken over by the excellent Bulgarian national team player Radoslav Parapunov. He was born in 1997 and 205 cm tall. He stayed at CSKA in Sofia, from where he went to the American University in Hawaii and played for a team of the same name since 2017. He won the NCAA title (university championship) and was the best player of the championship. His coach (assistant) was also our distinguished expert Milan Zarkovic. Two seasons ago in the same competition he was the best corrector, and the potential announced another 2016, when he took the title of the best pointer in the European Championship for U-21 players. He is a standard Bulgarian national team player, and our public will be able to watch him in this year’s League of Nations.

Congratulations to Rado. I asked Coach Milan on social media what is a “first corrector”. Never heard that term before….Know what that means Cindy? Milan hasn’t responded to my question yet…
My guess is that it means he’s the guy who fixes things, like takes the out of system balls, is expected to be the point scorer. Maybe the “first option?”
Coach Milan just messaged me back that it means “starting oppo”….
makes sense. Thanks
Congrats to Rado! He’ll do great! And enjoyed your article in the Star Advertiser today Cindy! It was a boost for all of Hawaii and it was certainly needed. It is what makes UH enviable in terms of representing. As you said, it’s not just the University, it is the entire state! Hope to see more bylines! Keep up the great work!
thanks for reading. I am writing a monthly column. next is June 17
