OTB awards to Thelle, Voss; libero Edmonds joins Wahine as grad student

Per her Facebook page, 5-7 DS/L Talia Edmonds announces she’s committed to #HawaiiWVB to pursue a Master’s Degree. Edmonds led Michigan St. last year with 238 digs, good for a 2.43 digs/set average in 98 sets played.

She is the daughter of former Hawai’i Hilo All-American setter Peka Malae

National Middle Attacker of the Week: Voss had 10 kills and one error on a .692 attack percentage in a season-opening sweep against Loyola on Wednesday. He also had nine kills and zero errors on a .692 attack percentage to help the Rainbow Warriors complete the two-match series sweep against the Ramblers on Friday.
National Setter of the Week:
Jakob Thelle, Hawai’i
Thelle had a combined nine kills in a two-match series sweep against Loyola, including a career-high six aces in the series opener. The setter also guided the Rainbow Warriors to more than a .350 attack percentage in both matches.
