A very happy birthday to Coach Robyn “Coach Rob” Ah Mow.

The annual Wahine Alumnae Match returns for the first time since 2019 on Friday, part of Homecoming Weekend. UH is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1982 NCAA team, the 35th anniversary of the 1987 title team and the 50th year of Rainbow Wahine athletics and Title IX.

Just spoke to Kris Pulaska (1980-83) who said she’ll make it one of these days. Currently in northern California. I also saw Joyce Kapuaala on Monday at her dad’s memorial service. She won’t be playing but will drop in before flying to the mainland that night.

Alumnae match at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Green/White scrimmage and various skills competitions between current Wahine team members beginning at 7:05 p.m. at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Admission is free.

Didn’t see anything about concessions being opened or if clear bag policy instituted. Will update when I hear.

No radio or TV. I’ll be live blogging.
